Skills & Qualifications

Speech Therapist (SLP)

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology

  • Tennessee state license as an SLP and CCC-SLP

  • Strong organization and collaboration skills

  • Kind, neurodiversity-affirming, and passionate about continuing education

  • Pediatric experience required

  • Feeding therapy experience preferred

Occupational therapist (OT)

  • Doctorate in Occupational Therapy

  • Tennessee state license as an OT and registered with NBCOT

  • Strong organization and collaboration skills

  • Kind, neurodiversity-affirming, and passionate about continuing education

  • Pediatric experience required

  • Feeding and sensory experience preferred

Physical Therapist (PT)

  • Doctorate in Physical Therapy

  • Tennessee state license as a PT

  • Strong organization and collaboration skills

Here’s what we expect from our Therapists

  • Evaluate and diagnose based on evaluations and interpretation of results

  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans in your scope of practice

  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and treatment plans

  • Monitor and document progress over time

  • Documentation, including evaluations, daily treatment notes, and plans of care

  • Implement home programs and education for carryover and generalization of skills

  • Utilize neurodiversity-affirming methods and deliver patient-centered care

  • Maintain clean and safe therapy materials

  • Comply with federal, state, and local certification and legal requirements

  • Lead with empathy, kindness, and a growth mindset

Questions about joining our team

  • Honeysuckle is a therapist owned company established in service to the community that puts patients and therapists first. Our mission is for therapists to grow a love for their jobs and provide personal care to families.

  • A full time caseload is maintained at 35 weekly sessions. Caseload will be primarily the early intervention population, and sessions will be completed in community spaces like daycares, schools, homes, etc.

  • Your initial schedule will be completed for you based on your desired hours, and then you will maintain communication with families for cancellations/rescheduling while requesting support as needed. We believe that flexibility in scheduling is important for therapists.

  • Documentation for sessions will be completed in the final 5 minutes of the scheduled time. Documentation time for evaluations will be paid at the contracted hourly rate for 1 hour per evaluation.
